You can’t go home . . .

With the Islamic government in Iran strictly forbidding homosexuality, hundreds of gay Iranian men seek asylum in the United Kingdom every year. This powerful short film tells the stories of two such men trying to find a new life in Leeds. They recount stories of lovers in Iran being executed or enduring torture, painting a picture of life in, and escape from, a frighteningly oppressive state – and look to the future by setting up a support group in their new home, and playing music.
